Elementary Program
Students develop autonomy and ownership of their education. In our multi-age classrooms, students age receive individualized and one-on-one direct instruction correlating to their personal skill level. To top it off, students become bilingual thus opening many doors and develop cultural competency.
Our students’ reading and writing skills meet and exceed common grade level expectations. By tailoring the curriculum to match individual needs, each student enjoys learning and wants and is able to learn. Students read and write in both script and cursive. They choose books that appeal to them and that are exactly at their proficiency level. They become exceptionally creative writers with remarkable spelling skills. Students will read and write, in both French and English, with greater comprehension and ability. We love watching our students progress from their first day to the last day of the year.
All activities, including planned curriculum and free-play, encourage social development, problem solving skills, and foster individual creativity. Personal growth, positive work habits and strong work ethics continue to be modeled and incorporated throughout the day. Our students are constantly challenged to achieve their highest potential, and we are always amazed by their abilities!

At La Petite Ecole, we seek every opportunity to encourage our students’ personal growth in all areas, including interpersonal skills, self confidence, to cultural awareness.
We want our students to leave our school community with the tools they need to be individually successful and to make our world a better place.
Does your family need additional care, such as early morning drop off or after school care?
Additional Care
We strive to make our programs accessible to all families. We realize many families need additional services to access our programs.
Some families choose for their child to attend La Petite Ecole in the mornings only and need before school. Other families need at school care before or after school.
We provide these additional services during the academic year. These services are provided to students enrolled in daytime programs. Extra fees apply for all of these services. Parents may sign up ahead of time or use these services on a drop-in basis (upon approval). Please note - some services may be unavailable at certain times of the year, or due to circumstances beyond our control. See the Family Handbook in the Family Corner for detailed policies regarding enrollment, drop-in availability, fees, and invoicing.
